I'm not trying to be funny mate but how would he be guaranteed Super League with you? You're two points in front of London, level with Leeds and two behind Huddersfield. You're all in a relegation fight at this stage.

I'd like to think that the recent windfall from the Leeds fixture would see an improved offer to stop players leaving. We shall see.

Christ almighty, as much as I was pleased to see Bradford win on Saturday for the competition and for the club with its recent history, (you were solid against Toronto aswell)I thought Chalmers arrogance was out on his own but seems it's filtered down to the fans especially when it comes to opinions of Hull KR.
Ethan Ryan moving to Rovers is an upgrade to him no matter what you say if it happens, if he's consistently sound defensively like he was Saturday then maybe it could be a player swap with Shaw?

For what it's worth, Rovers are in a false position right now, been decimated all season by injuries to key men but especially all in one position - forwards.
I'll stick my neck out and say a decent run of no injuries (Which fingers crossed starts this Friday according to injury updates) will see us quite comfortably clear of relegation. The result against Salford away on Saturday was a better indication of where we're heading. Club should be mid table at least with attendances, playing staff and world class coach. (JK has been great but to work under Sheens is undeniably an upgrade too!)

I was thinking about this on way to work.

So they will gain extra ticket money which has to be split with Leeds, extra sales of goods in the ground. Do the receive any TV money? I was trying to think how much extra they would earn from playing Leeds? Total guess £10 to 15k???

Be a bit more than 15k I’d have thought. Say an average ticket price of £15 x10k gives 150k. Subtract 30k for vat then say another 10k for our costs putting game on (although I’d expect us to claw back max allowed under rules for costs) gives 110k before split leaving us with 55k just from tickets. Then add on food and drink and shop sales, plus money from hospitality all of which doesn’t need splitting. I’d hazard a guess at £75k cash boost.

I was thinking more along those lines. Obviously I don't know costs, but I estimated around £100k gate receipts.

Think you're a bit sensitive there.

No-one's pasting your club.

Imagine it's you laiking for Rovers mid championship, development's going along nicely, both club and skills wise when you get an offer from say Huddersfield. You're a Rovers fan all your life so your choice is play SL but possibly un-spectacularly and be a bit part of a solid team or stay where you are, hopefully help your home town club back to the top table and have roughly the same cash in a similar set up - albeit one division down.

What's you choice?

Now say Castleford come in for you?

What's your choice now?

I read the same at the weekend. Cas looking at Ryan or Olpherts at Salford, who I also like the look of.

If we can't manage to keep Ethan and I really hope that we can, then do we go for somebody like Joe Brown or Luke Hooley or stick with Brandon Pickers and Stephenson?

What about if we can keep Ethan, we keep playing him at full back or do switch him back to wing and go with options like the above?

If we manage to keep Ryan then we need either a quality FB or winger. Where Ryan plays may depend on who is available
