To be fair, they need to have and announce a contingency plan, shoite though it is, but in reality the QF is most certainly journey’s end for either.

Presumably the second semi would be played a week later and they wouldn’t be expected to play two games in quick succession?.

Thats how it reads, meaning Mick Gs post on Sunday about 'just getting off the phone to the RFL' and 'a team getting a bye to the final of the 1895 cup if us or Fax made it to the CC final' was yet again a load of garbage.

Yet another factual inaccuracy from someone with a bitter agenda.

I spoke with both Ralph and Andy Wilson and never reported what you claim in the above.

For the avoidance of doubt for those sad trolls on here:

The following was tweeted after speaking to Andy Wilson.

Just spoken to the RFL regarding the situation for Bradford and Halifax in the Challenge Cup/1895 Cup and should they be involved in both competitions at the SF stage, they will play in the CC SF on the Saturday and in the 1895 SF on the Wednesday. Two chances to get to Wembley.

Yet u posted the following on facebook at 13:04 on Sunday afternoon (and ive screen shot in so please dont go and edit the post like u have doe in the past)

After yesterday's result, the 1895 Cup second round tie between Barrow and Bradford will now be played on either Tuesday 4th or Wednesday 5th of June at Craven Park - between the Challenge Cup QF game and the Championship game with Batley at Odsal on Sunday 9th June.

If Bradford or Halifax are in the Challenge Cup Final, then although nothing has been confirmed at this stage, but it is understood the 1985 Cup semi-final opponent will get a bye through to Wembley.

The bit in bold is the garbage that u posted.

I think if either Halifax or ourselves happen to win BOTH semi finals (extremely unlikely) then another team would take our place in the 1985 cup final. I think that might be what Mick is trying to say.

This post just comes across as a bit of an unnecessary lampoon.

Sunday 2nd June - Halifax at home - CC
Wednesday 5th June - Barrow away - 1895 Cup
Sunday 9th June - Batley at home - League

Id imagine team selection for both teams for the 1895 cup will very much depend on who wins the semi as the 1895 is still realistically both clubs best chance of getting to wembley but a semi final CC game is going to make a lot more money for the clubs than any Wembley appearence in the 1895 will. Luckily both teams do have quite large squads so both should manage.
