I'd play the reserves/academy for this. A long trip to Barrow we can do without. I hope we don't get all misty-eyed thinking of Wembley and end up burning ourselves out and seeing our season come of the rails. Give the reserves/academy lads the 1895 Cup games. One or two could player themselves into Kears thinking given the opportunity

It'll be even more interesting if we reach both Wembley finals

Hypothetically, if we reach Wembley as 1985 finalists, is that likely to generate any Money in ticket sales for us, or does it go to Wembley?

Bulls reach Wembley for the first time in 22 years splashed about the T and A is likely to generate some interest in bringing back some fans I reckon.

I’d like a run in the 1895 Cup as it is our best chance of silverware especially with Toronto and Toulouse not competing. Plus it gives Lilley and Milnes more games to improve combinations. However I also think finishing in the playoff places in our first season back would consitute as a successful season and is more likely to entice players to xome next year rather than an 1895 Cup win.

Hopefully some of our injured players can have a run out such as Keyes, Hitchcox?, Gibson etc with the likes of Magrin, Milton and Hodgson playing alongside some established first teamers.

Keyes probably won't play again this season, Hitchcox out until near the end of the season. Magrin has been sent to London Skolars.

Gibson, Milton and Doyle - yeah, alongside the likes of Pickersgill and Doyle.

Thought Keyes was back training? And Hitchcox was out for 4 months when he had the surgery so would have thought he’d only be a month or two away? Could be wrong though.

Still don’t know why Milton hasn’t had a game yet. Kear obviously doesn’t fancy Magrin and still given him 2 run outs.

I think Hitchcox was being talked about as being back by the end of August - unless he comes back early, then that doesn't leave much of the season.

I guess Magrin got games because there was some hope that he'd step up, but it obviously did not happen. So better to farm him out...

Milton - well, what is his position? Not big enough for prop, not skilled enough for the halves (he's been tried there for the Reserves, so assume not considered good enough), don't need him at hooker. He's only going to get played if we have a lot of injuries, I suspect

As for Keyes, I don't know if he's training or not. But it seems like the sort of injury that will quite possibly reoccur once he goes into a contact situation. And you can bet that he's going to get targeted as soon as he plays an actual game.
