Looking from a distance I'm surprised at that decision. That said, he's been there a while and even the best coaches probably become a bit 'stale' after too long. I don't think he'll be out of work long, to be honest.

Bulls, R M has been good for Fax in places, yes top 4 finishes and fax fighting above their weight. However there have been several issues according to people who are in the know(!?). Certain players play week in week out no matter of form. Blindingly obvious to all except him, half back has been an issue for a couple of seasons. Most recruitment has been either front or second rowers. Man management and respect have supposedly been a major issue. Good points he has set up an academy and reserve teams and got local talent back to the team. It has been subject of almost certain speculation that his contract would not be renewed, but the timing is a little odd, unless something has rattled the BoD. Depending on how he has left as to payment issues, if sacked would expect some severance, if resigned Fax save money. Bit of a mess and will probably not become clear anytime soon.
