So after 4 points over Easter our next game is against Rochdale. In my opinion we should be winning this. Players will still be feeling the affects of Easter too I would imagine. Can’t quite remember who’s fit or not especially DFJ so I’d go with:

Pickersgill
Ryan
Oakes
Webster/Gibson
Grant
Lilley
Milnes
Kirk
Wildie
Crossley
Roche
Minchella
Milton (how come he hasn’t had a game yet?)

Hallas
Bustin
Peltier
Green/Wood

Wouldn’t be surprised if Webster was rested. Same applies to Crossley. Storton should get a rest too. I’d put Ryan back at fullback. The team needs to get used to him being there. It’s a shame for Pickersgill but I didn’t see anything in the Barrow game that made me think he’s earnt his spot back.

Ryan
Grant
Gibson
Oakes
DFJ/Rickett
Milnes
Lilley
Kirk
Wildie
Bustin
Minchella ©
Roche
Wood

Green
Hallas
Peltier
Hodgson

Totally agree on Ethan. One thing that hasn't been mentioned is his defensive capabilities. He is very good defensively as we saw plenty of times on the wing. Maybe that comes from his time spent in the centres in the academy which for me is the most difficult position to defend in.

One with big wraps from me from Monday was Colton Roche, he looked far above the player that left us and in terms of the team at this current moment, as disappointing as it was to lose Wilson, if Roche carries that form into the rest of the season it will have been a very good deal for the club all around

Yes Roche looked lively when he came on. Should be a good addition hopefully.

I think Webster will play (he'll prob miss Toronto away with their 4g pitch)

Should put a score on Rochdale really. With how tight the league is, points difference could be a factor.

I’d love to see us put a big score on but I can’t see it with our stuttering attack.

To be honest I'd rather we rest a few of the key men. It's our 4th game in 14 days, one of which went into golden point. With some big games coming up I'd give the likes of Minchella, Ryan, Crossley and breather.

I think Webster needs to be in the team simply for his 'glare at the kicker from the side of the posts' that put Charnock off a few times on Sunday...

Some of our lads got the stare too :)

Strong squad named:

Crossley
Green
Minchella
Storton
Doyle
Hallas
Oakes
Webster
Farrell
Kirk
Peltier
Wildie
Foggin Johnston
Lilley
Roche
Wood
Grant
Milnes
Ryan

Think Wood and Doyle will miss out this week.

Would be a shame if Wood missed out as it makes a difference with him starting at 13, his defensive organisation stops those early trys, that have been happening the previous few games! Really showed at Barrow when he came off in second half - defence went to poop in the middle! I’d rest some key players like Crossley/ Mini or Wildie ready for the next few tough games and the youngster Doyle a go at hooker. Peltier needs to work harder in defence, doesn’t quite look match fit yet. Roche looked good, really takes the line on too and will really offer something in attack. Looking forward to the May games!
