The rot truly set in under Stuart Cummings. He was an awful ref in his day, then an awful Director of Referees, and now a truly dispiriting commentator. And somehow the RFL followed his tenure with the appointment of Steve Ganson, who spent his life show pony-ing around the grounds.

So it would seem that after a number of high/late tackles, you could determine the Ref had no control of the game. Just saying.

To be fair, I think London deserved a point from that game at Huddersfield because of the effort put in over the 80 minutes. But I wouldn`t blame the ref for that action at full time, as both the ref and the in-goal judge were both right on top of the action. Also Huddersfield hooker Leeming swears he got the ball down when the ref said held-up. That was a new ref to me, hadn`t seen him before, made the odd cock-up but no worse than some of the dross around. Best of luck against Salford.
