It was apparent early on that this was going to be a transitional season.
The heavy defeats are really disappointing, but we’ve had equal highs in the Catalan and Good Friday games. Plus we’ve signed up our playmaker for three more years.
I’m not unhappy where we are. Top five would be an achievement for me, with some proactive recruitment taking place, which will fill in the gaps which are clearly evident.
But it shouldnt have been a transitional season.
Poor recruitment has made it the season it is.
Radford has to take the responsibility for that.
We had the platform from two Challenge Cup wins to kick on but poor decisions starting with the Watts fiasco have seen us on the end of several huge losses.
Once you build a platform for success the sign of a good coach and management is to keep it going.
Radford has failed and now we will have a huge turnover of players in preparation for next season which should include several of the fringe/reserve players who are just not good enough.
