When Wigan were in deep trouble in 2006 that spent that amount on Stuart Fielden. Now Fielden was probably the best prop in SL at the time, but hardly the creative player (or goal kicker for that matter) that Connor is. Leeds also have pots of cash, so it’s well within their resources.
13 years down the line, £500k would be the opening bid. If he were to be sold it I think the figure should be closer to £750k. But unless we are in financial disarray, what do you do with that money?
Leeds don't spend, in fact it's rare we see transfer fees anywhere near that in modern day RL.
I'm not saying we sell him, but that's a lot of cash to turn down, I'm shocked if Leeds bid thst much, but that they could probably sign Hastings, Josh Jones' another SL forward with that money.
I'm not sure I believe the story or certainly the amount bid

I'm certain it is a BS story, as good as Jake CAN be, he's hardly consistent, certainly not for half a million.

Leeds have not had to spend in the recent past as their success on the pitch was enough to entice players in. That’s not there right now. ALso, Connor is mid contract.
I can remember the days of Leeds being the big spenders on the likes of Hanley, Tait, Gallagher, Innes etc, but they were trying to buy the success which they had not had for a long time back then. Perhaps the Headlingley old guard are edging that way again.
If it’s made it into LE, there will be something in the story. They are far more careful about publishing things than League Weekly.
I am less likely to believe a lot of the unsubstantiated stuff which appears on this forum. After all, Sneyd had agreed a contract with Wigan if you believed some posters on this forum only a few weeks ago.
non story, connor seems happy at hull, can see him staying to the end of his contract then if aussie calls he might well go, but for now lets just enjoy having him around,

I'm not sure many Hull players live in Hull. Same goes for Rovers.
A lot live in the East riding villages and some travel in from West Yorkshire. I presume some travel together and share driving duties. Not a massive issue really.
