The touch judges do not call forward passes, they advise the ref and the ref and only the ref can call forward. Same with judging late tackle, the touch judge advises the ref, he then decides if it warrants a penalty.
Just watched the replay, put my hand up, have to agree it was contact with the head with his arm. Was he already committed? Not making excuses for Moa but look at full pace It looked like it! Should it have been red for contact high? Fact Abdul stayed down sadly isn’t a factor in the decision, maybeit should be.

That would make a lot of calls he ignored.
Why are you blaming the officials? From what I saw the broncos had no idea and looked like a bunch of players not knowing how to play attacking rugby. Without the officials no game would take place, rather than blaming them, the issue is with the organisation of the team on the field.
Are you northernblokes twin brother. The team were quite poor in passing and handling the ball and we need a couple of big angry mongrels and a new half but we have what we have and they play with their hearts. I won't slag the team off because of results. If we are honest it was expected and we dared to dream.
Why is it pedantic? Merely pointing out the role of the tj, how do you know they didn't call fwd passes? And how would you know if the ref makes the call
I do find it quite interesting that you will not slag the team off for losing? That's quite an odd approach! It's the players who drop the ball, who slow the ptb, who are offside. Not the ref, not Danny ward, not DH

You moan at other people for going off thread but you do exactly the same thing, this thread is about Referees not about how the team played. If you would like my opinion on how the team played I will give it to you. Up until the Abdul incident I thought they were playing reasonably well I was not thinking we were going to win the game but there was a little bit of hope that we might just pinch a result at the end of the day. After the incident I thought we had no chance of winning, we had no direction we were making to many mistakes we were running sideways a lot of the time and we could not get over the try line. I would question how would the game of gone if the referee had taken charge from the start, how disheartened did the team become when they lost Abdul and Pelisser at the same time (the play maker and the hooker) what position should Cuningham have taken hooker or halfback? I feel that all Catalans games should have one of the top referees because they always try and referee the game and they will play like thugs if the referee lets them get away with it. I will also add that I have never seen Jay Pitts question the referees decisions so much during a game.
I never complain about going off thread. And fwiw it was not me that took it off thread.
The hassle after the game was kenny Edwards trying to get at elois, obviously some bad blood there. Not sure if you saw it but there was an incident in the bench area just after the sun bin involving Edwards.
As for Catalans having a go at the ref, bird was pretty quiet from what I saw. That game was bubbling quite a lot in the second half and very easily could have kicked off again, have you thought why not? Credit to Sam Moa and elois though, when they came back on they just got on with playing rugby.
