Eddie Battye is out of contract also. Signed a one year deal in August 18 I think.

Strewth bit early in the season to start worrying about this, a lot will depend on if we stay in SL and then how the club decides to cut its cloth

I think it was a good strategy to sign up players on one year contracts for a number of reasons;

1 They need to play for a new contract
2 If we go down the club doesn't go out of business like Leigh

Flip side good players will be poached. We don't have many if any of them.

Agree with you WQ, what’s the point in promising a player a certain level of wage when you know if you go down to not sustainable with the income you have.

Not that early, i think it is next week that Clubs can begin approaching players that are OOC at the end of the season.

It all depends on if the club think they have what it takes to stay in SL.
Let’s be honest though, if saint leeds wigan come looking at the likes of walker, doubt that we could compete with them even if we do look like staying up, sad but it’s how it is.
I would like to think! That the club are in constant discussion with those that are out of contract at the end of the season.
Don’t forget it does mean that we can approach players at other clubs as well, so it’s a two way street.
