so it was true that woolford wasnt really a fan

good to see they have worked things out and leeming has stopped being a penalty machine and found consistency!

Good to watch, very articulate lad, who seems to be in touch with his game. I really hope he keeps on improving because he has all the skills, and when his tail is up is pretty unplayable. He is possibly the only player we have who has the natural ability to beat players with footwork, so many of our backs totally lack this, and it's a pleasure to watch when he has the confidence to go from dummy half. I wonder what the differences were between him and Woolford regarding how he should play. He's a jack of all trades kind of hooker to me, he can scoot, he can distribute and he can bamboozle a defence with his evasive skills. Let's hope this is his year, and he can be consistently good, and not as up and down as he was last year, that's the key to him becoming a great player as opposed to one who has the odd string of fabulous games.

Listening to the interview it seemed to me that there was a lack of communication and the coach wasn't actually trying to change his game but enhance it by attending to details like diet and making the best use of all the time spend training.

I watched a Giants training session down at Leeds Road recently and the one thing I remember is Matagi constantly in his ear saying 'what's next Kruise' after every play.
I guess that's saying don't switch off for a second or you'll get found out. It may also explain why the coach rates Matagi not just for his individual play but also for his talking on the pitch - something we as fans don't appreciate.
