Known for being injury prone?
Seemed a bit odd to me that so I checked it out. He made 25 appearances for us in SL last season. The previous year he made more appearances in a season than any previous.
Don’t just take garbage that people spout and claim it as gospel. Check facts.

Google “Lee Gaskell injury”. Page after page after page. One “good” season in terms of appearances doesn’t take away the multiple seasons of knees, calves, hamstrings, heart murmurs, dizzy spells, migraines etc etc. I like Gaskell when he is fit and on form but facts are indeed facts.

The end.

If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.

In 2016 he managed 12 games at Bradford due to an injury ravaged season at the end of that we bought him and signed him up for 5 years

He had a good year in 2017 then last season he managed 18 games league and cup.

This season he has played in 2 out of 4 .

So in the last 3 and a bit seasons he has managed just over 58 % of available games

That is a lot of injuries for someone in his prime.

Huddersfield Giants 2013 over achievers

Huddersfield Giants 2014 under achievers ??????????

Not sure where you’ve got 18 from, is that just games before the split as the official stats have him playing in 25 games in super league alone last season. 25 out of 30 is hardly a sick note. Unless you are confusing him with Jerry who did only play in 18 games.

yep 25 appearances last season... way more than a list we could make on the whole squad but lets just single out gaskell...

they didnt want to risk him today incase it made things worse and he would be out longterm, managed it and now he will play friday at wigan

You missed the intended meaning of the original post. It was not to highlight how long Gaskell has been injured for , or how many games he has missed through injuries, but the nature of his 'injuries'. He lets the team down regularly at the last minute by pulling out for a variety of reasons at the last moment, throwing the teams plans into chaos. This has occurred regularly enough for it to be viewed as a habit. It appears to me that when given the chance to miss a game, he takes it.

Played well yes, just wish he would stop pulling out of games at last minute

Or is it rather that he’s trying to play them when really he should call himself unfit sooner? Or are our staff telling him he shouldn’t play? .
See we really can’t point the finger if we don’t know the facts.
