I get your point about stupid penalties but hardly anyone plays the ball correctly and always push forward at the play the ball which results in conned penalties. A case in point was Cas playing the referee by being offside, actually stood metres in front at the play the ball and throwing the ball away in the tackle which resulted in at least 2 penalties. The glaring one for me was Miloudi held up over the line by 3 players and McShane came over the top, flopping and clearly stripped the ball. You make your own luck in life but it’s a killer when people deliberately look the other way. A bit of luck or bounce of the ball and we’d have 2 from 2 and a little less hand wringing.
