agree about lunt and quinlan but you are gonna be missing those guys a long time, as for jewitt Scruton boy I hope those 2 are starting props when we play next, I think garbett mulhearn mosoa are better props imo, all if and buts anyway, you got the 2 points and well done for playing to the end,

After seeing the results and watching the 3 games shown so far we are in no worse than the teams supposedly better. Leeds for me looked worse than us in terms of forward strength even & with the so called star signings, Huddersfield bummed by Salford and Wigan weren’t all that to be honest. Yes we needed some additions in the forwards but Kelly Connor & Westerman will make a big difference to us. Just hope Sneyd carries on taking the line on as the season progresses.
Big indicator will be on Thursday as to how far off we are.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Missed the essence of my point but yeah worrying for Rovers.
SL perennial strugglers fresh from relegation battle, played at best ‘average’ against an under strength team and still won.
Or.......
Plenty of improvement to come for a team that have made wholesale changes in the off season, with small number of squad players to come back from injury.
Or........
Team under siege following 11 straight defeats won’t be able to keep that level of steel in defence even with flair payers back in team.
Take your pick probably a hybrid of the three, let’s see when you have your seven superstars back. Well Connor is decent when he keeps his mouth shut.

Well if the first round results are anything to go by looks like London are a shoe in for the GF.
Seriously though as much as I thought Rovers would beat us I thought it would have been by a bigger margin. Whilst we were pretty predictable in the halves which was to be expected only having Sneyd (no disrespect to Washy who in fairness did a job). Ultimately we lost it in the dying seconds due to poor discipline in the first half which I did the hard work. After reflecting on things there were positives and we moved the ball which whilst not with any real speed at least we moved the ball wide. Sneyd took the line on much whether out of necessity or not but be nice to think it’s something that’s been worked on. MDJ did ok and wasn’t the liability some had predicted.
Roll on Thursday for a much needed win.

Cant see you playing with the same intensity against Cas. Think that was a must win game you lost on Friday to eradicate the 11 game losing streak. Can see Cas putting a 20 point margin on you irrelevant of others coming back in the squad.

Think you should be more concerned how your team only just scraped a win against a team that shot itself in the foot by ill discipline and not being smart enough to kill the game in the last minute.
Intensity isn’t an issue it’s the sloppy mistakes and ill discipline that are the common issue.

Im fine with my team pal.....two points are two points as your coach says ( or did last June ) If it makes you feel better I think we have no chance against Wire either.

Fair comment but Jewitt is one tough hombre and we usually look better when he plays and really adds aggression albeit he is prone to giving the odd penalty away. I'd have him in front of Paea any day of the week, Mickey really does look a shadow of the player who won player of the season for Rovers. Scruton when 100% fit (rare) is still a very good prop too.
Mulhern has come on leaps & bounds but I do think he has had precious little rest due to the England Knights tour and it is showing a little. I'd give him 2 or 3 weeks off and bring back Jewitt who is available this week. Mose had one of his quiet games against you lot possibly because of your excellent defence.
Obviously you will be a lot better with your missing players back especially Connor & Kelly but when SKY said Rovers were at full strength that is complete nonsense. When players like Lunt & Quinlan are out for months they are forgotten about whereas if Connor is out for one game it is headline news.
Rant over...I thought you were the better team on Friday ..just. How the respective teams will get on this year I am no wiser.
