Think it will be different for Sam, from what I've read he's had a really bright start at Batley, I'd be disappointed if he didn't have a future with us... However, in saying that it does make you wonder given Woolfords comments when we resigned wardle, about us needing depth at back row / centre when we've sent Sam out.
Without sounding harsh I for one am glad he didn't. Mikey Wood has become a very important part of our pack and really grew into the 13 role as last season went on. Really pleased we signed him up.
Liam Johnson has potential and is a good line runner with an eye for a try.unfortunately was found wanting in defence at times, and under Kear thats a big no no. Defence can be worked on though and I am sure he will have a good year at Dewsbury.
I was at our game against Batley on Sunday and Wood had a good game. Got his hands dirty and through a lot of work in the centre both with and without the ball. With him being so tall his frame is quite sleight think he would need a bit more size on to play back row in SL
