I really mean no disrespect here but as a Wakey fan making the trip down I will be very dissapointed if we lose to London. There’s always the chance of a the ocassion giving London a boost though there’s always an argument for the flip side.
I’m pleased London are back and I hope you fans enjoy some success and finish above 12th because as a wakey fan I know the feeling of losing 5/7/10+ on the bounce and it’s horrible.
The reason I would be gutted if wakey lose is that we have been in transition for the last 2/3 years and are progressing ever so slightly season by season to almost break that top 4. As a fan I’m naturally hoping we finally break out of transition this year and actually challenge and to do that you have to manage ocassions like another teams return to the top flight with professionalism and getting the W.
We have strengthened yet again in 2019 and to see Wakey regress would be both against the grain of recent times and dissapointing but there is always that chance.
Personally, I’m sure it will be a great ocassion for London and Wakey and I’m looking forward to seeing what London have to offer. I too thought there would be a few more additions to London with some big investment in an impact prop and the half’s the very least. As a wakey fan though I know players that are written off can turn around and develop into some very good SL standard players (Reece Lynn is a prime example).
