Don’t see how Connor is wasted at centre, it’s an important position on its own right. He did far more damage playing at centre for England than he would in the halves imho.
The beauty of the modern game is that it’s possible to be creative from almost any position which didn’t used to be the case.

I wouldn't, I'm not a massive Sneyd fan but he gives organisation that none of the others do and that kick to the corner seems to create a massive percentage of tries scored.
