Well Chalmers comments on the website said that we had 22 FT players, 14 PT players and 27 academy players.
So that's a decent sized squad and it's got a good balance with depth across all positions as well as an open door for the young lads to take the step up.

As I've said before, I think this team has enough about it to be pushing for a play-off spot come the end of 2019

That looks like a very competitive championship squad - nice balance to it too.

Should we be worrying about how we're funding it, or just let uncle Marwan take care of us in the background 8)

Makes you wonder doesn't it?

Either than Marvin Kockrash link is alive and well(for me there's to much for it to be a coincidence), or AC is knuckle deep in Jam and Gravy.

I think he has more cash than you would give him credit for

He probably does. Seems to have done well for himself. Always good to see.

I see scofield has picked us to finish 8th, with Leigh finishing 2nd.

So it’s back to SL next year for us then

It's from the League Express.

They haven't been given squad numbers but Kear said they will be given one as and when they play a First team game, either league or cup. Not sure if I remember them all correctly but I think they were:
Alix Stephenson
Tom Doyle
Elliot Culling
Trea O'Sullivan
Luke Punton
Cobi Green.
Seemed a good idea and the lads concerned were all up for it.

From the reserves/19s games I watched at our place last year, Alix Stephenson was rightly getting a lot of plaudits, but I thought Elliot Culling has the potential to be a fantastic centre for us. Big lad and defensively can really put a shot on. Doyle is also very very strong, very much in the mould of a young Terry Newton

I mean, even by Schoeys standards i'm baffled at that. If he has us finishing 8th then fair enough. But Leigh 2nd? They have around 16 players signed up at this moment in time. Ridyard is the stand out, but the rest? Bracek & Thornley from Swinton who finsihed bottom last year? Higham who I believe has come out of retirement. A fair few young kids from SL clubs. They've no FB and only 1 HB with the season 6 weeks away. We know all from experience how hard it is for young players week in week out in this league. 27 game regular season plus the CC and/or 1895 Cup.

Happy for us to fly under the radar
