Never looked interested on and off the pitch, injury prone and lazy.
I hope you have more luck with him than Leigh did.
Just about sums up last seasons experience with us at Leigh. Paid top dollar, £80k+ pa, and didn't earn 10% of that. No interest to play for the club whatsoever, even when on the paddock. Hope you have more luck

Interesting take from our friends from LSV.
Clearly, something was rotten in the state of Leigh last season - whether Evans was part of that, or a victim swept along by it, is something that will doubtless become clear.
The fact is that when he played for Warrington, and he did make over 100 appearances for them in Super League, he was a very good player.

I think he could be a good signing for you guy's. Really hope you knock on the door of Super League again soon as you are too big of a club not to be in it.
Even good players look pants when the team/club is struggling. Not to discredit our brethren from Hilton Park but I do feel my own judgement has been somewhat clouded previously in similar situations.
Fans will back a player even if they get injured but likes been Said Evans never looked interested or put in the effort that ud expect from someone on big money, hope he does the business for u guys apart from when we play u
Always supportive posts on here from our Leigh friends, so their comments re Evans plainly require respect. Obviously, it hasn't worked worked out with him at LSV for whatever reason. Kear though isn't a coach who takes unnecessary risks and he seems happy enough with this signing. The Rhys Evans who played at Warrington looked a class act, and he's still only 26. Hopefully a good bit of business and completes a productive recruitment programme this off season.

He's quick, if he breaks clear, not many will catch him. As a Leigh fan I don't know if was totally committed or not, hard to tell. Anyway good luck with him, sensible choice by Bradford, a 1 year deal. I'm guessing he's thinking "I belong in Super League"or maybe I'm being a bit harsh...time will tell.

Agree with that, particularly so if the player is a back. It's difficult/virtually impossible to look good in the backs if the forwards aren't laying that platform.

I bloody well hope we're not paying him £80k! Probably the first of our signings that I've been disappointed with. I don't rate this guy at all, in fact I remember openly laughing at his antics at Warrington on several occasions because he was so poor.
Now you can add a poor injury record to his repertoire and I'm genuinely scratching my head wondering why we've signed this guy.
Happy to eat my words over the course of next season but I'm more inclined to think I'll be saying 'I told you so' instead.
