Both clubs will not enter the 1895 cup which we already know.Theyve also now announced they won't be entering the full Challenge Cup.Something just doesn't sit right with me on this issue.Surely there both either part of our game or there not.

Just a money grab by those in power. No wonder we never grow the sport. Wonder if theyll charge Wakey, Salford, Huddersfield, London etc if they make it

Whatever the reasons for withdrawing it could have an impact on the championship. I can't imagine Widnes or Fax would be chuffed to be picking up injuries playing in a cup they can't win, whilst Tolouse and Toronto can bubble wrap their lads the same weekend.

Surely if Toronto et al are bringing something worthwhile to the game the RFL should be prepared to carry the risk of them getting to the cup final? It looks small time that they're not.

What a state RL is in. The sport's leaders ignore the heartlands in favour of expansion to exotic new venues but then want an insurance against those very clubs getting to a cup final and not bringing any supporters. What a joke. The money rich Rah Rah boys must be laughing at our expense.

and even when the championship clubs are knocked out of cup they then go into 1895 cup so even more games (midweek I believe) which again toronto and toulouse arent participating in.

It's hardly surprising that the league is made grossly unfair. It's been an unfair contest ever since the introduction of the Magic Weekend. Not to mention the Summer Bash and the "loop fixtures" in SL this year. Any league system where you play different teams to others in the league isn't really a fair league. When you then add extra competitions that only some of you have to compete in, giving a nice rest to other sides, you're only increasing that unbalanced league competition.

It's all quite ridiculous really, regardless of who is to blame.

Agree up to a point but even a balanced fixture list holds no guarantees. For example, how many sides over the years have fielded weak sides prior to a CC semi or final - or been blitzed after celebrating the cup win?
