Dreadfully sad news. Although a Northern / Bulls fan, living Shipley I used to go to Lawkholme Lane as a young kid quite often to sit at the side of the pitch and watch Brian Jefferson kick goals from the touchline. To be honest and I’m sorry if caused any confusion, it is a rumour but a lot of people seem to be saying the same thing so I have probably jumped the gun.

Any news on the takeover? Thought we were getting an announcement this week. If the rumours that Lingard is coming back are true then from his words at the supporters Q&A I'd assume Shane Spencer is leaving.

Not to jinx it but sounds like we're out of the woods for now, league express and BBC sport both reporting Craig Lingard and Steve Gill will return to the club, special measures are over and training will start on Tuesday. Remains to be seen what type of team can be put together but I suppose anything is better than nothing. 

So does anyone know who's actually in charge now and where money to pay the players came from? Has Shane Spencer had a change of heart and decided he wants to try and run the club properly or has the ownership changed? As of now austria holdings are still persons of significant control on Companies House, so what happened with the rumoured takeover?
