Having seen both these guys at Leigh, you have signed two honest, 100% players.
Jordan, you will probably know better than we do, but he never let us down, getting through lots of work, without doing anything particularly exciting. He was one of our most consistent performers, in a disappointing squad.
Matty did two and a bit seasons with us. My first reaction is that he isn't quick enough for SL - you won't see him going the length of the pitch - yet he is a try scorer, having notched 18 last season, and, more impressively, 17 in our SL season. What you do get with him is a hard-as-nails approach - he always, and frequently, gains the hard yards from the p-t-b, and certainly isn't frightened of putting his body on the line. He was one of the few first team squad members, who stayed and gave it everything, in our farcical Championship Shield end to the season. For most of those games, he filled in at centre, showing a refreshing approach to setting up his winger for tries.
Sad to see them both leave, but they are deserving of better, and have joined a great club.
So we've signed 2 players previously not deemed good enough by their former SL teams who last year played for a championship team who didn't even make the middle 8's, a 27 year old who has never played SL and played most of his career in the 3rd tier and a 19 year old who couldn't get in the salford team and who will be on his 5th club.
Worst bit is the length of contracts we've dished out. You really have to worry about the direction the club is heading

I agree with all of the above. With the amount of average players we've signed surely we could have got 1 maybe 2 good players for the 1st team? Where are the positive spin masters when you need them?
2 good squad signings, if everybody fit wont get in the 17, but very handy to have in the squad, I remember when we signed aspinwall and mcgoldrick, this place went into meltdown, lets just see how there go,
once a black and white always a black and white COYH
