But maybe we’re trying to shift players on first which is proving difficult. Ideally we need at least 2 new teamers just to freshen things up . A quality winger and a good prop or a back rower with pace and size . Might take a while first though getting players out .
Are you still confident Jones has signed?
Well I got told March time i think it was that we’d signed him . Haven’t been told since that we haven’t , but can’t understand why it hasn’t been announced. Not sure if I’m right in thinking that do contracts run till November, and do we maybe have to wait till then !
Maybe it's fallen through and that's why we are going to sign Thompson instead.
I know it's ruthless but I'd let Talanoa go and look at signing one of Wigan's many wingers. Maybe Marshall? who is pacy. That would free up a quota place and enough cap for project signing a la Sam Moa. Simple!

I wouldn’t be too fussed if we lost Talanoa tbh, he struggles to keep fit nowadays and lacks pace. Like you said Wigan have 3 or 4 good wingers who’d likely jump at the chance for more first team action. I’ve always been a fan of Jy Hitchcox who’s now at Bradford and shouldn’t demand much of a salary at all. Although he’d take up a quota spot. Shame Rawsthorne left for Canada, I’m sure he’d have pushed Talanoa for a starting gig.

I agree about talanoa , I wouldn’t have resigned him in the first place . Personally I’d ha e tried for Johnson , but wouldn’t say no to Marshall or burgess . Maybe we’ll see some movement when we can agree to move a couple on .

After listening to your coach a few months ago stating it was costing the club an extra £137k next season alone on updated contracts on existing players, plus the few additions over the last few weeks, would be surprised if the cash was available for the 2019 squad on the cap. Think 2020 will be the year you offload and spend big on new talent.

It looks like we’ll have to release players before we can sign anybody who’s going to strengthen our first team !

Suppose it depends which players . Talk of griffin been one and I think he’d be in demand if made available . And usually the promoted club need players but it all depends on the players , with them having contracts .

amor is utter shoite and is just the type of player we seem to be signing
