AND YET ANOTHER REFEREEING THREAD You asked a question and when nobody bothered answering, you answered yourself.....jesus wept
JESUS WEPT HOW MANY TIMES????? £20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000. The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.
There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them.
Whilst we need to defend like we did against Salford, and attack as we did against Toulouse , most of all we need the ref to stand up to the Wolfies' underhand stuff, constant backchatting etc.. If he let's them bully him we're boned.
I'd really hoped we'd get Ben Thaler for this one - he didn't take any nonsense from them in the Challenge Cup. How long did that muppet McCrone think he could get away with mouthing off before he got sent t'bin!

Hoping dragon gets the ball a bit to run it into Mason canton-brown, reckon that could be an interesting tussle. On the other wing Dixon, went for a couple of intercepts last week, last tackle against Halifax, he needs to make them stick or preferably just make the tackle. Don’t want to be giving em starting sets near the line. Hoping he can find some space to run though. Ball retention is going to be important, against Widnes completion rate was up above 80% they need to be hitting that. Few showers forecast which might give it a different dimension.
Dixon was a bit of a scapegoat at Wembley, at least he tried, unlike some of our team I could mention. Unfortunately he's not big enough or confident enough for SL.
Good luck in the MPG, I think you're going to need it. But here's hoping you turn them over (like you were cheated out of, a couple if weeks back). FWIW I predicted Toronto would choke like Leigh did in 2015 and I still do.
Anyone got an idea what the weather's going to be like out there? Was hoping it might rain because one, it will be a bit of a leveller and two, I thought we played our best game in years against Salford in what were truly atrocious conditions! COYB!!

Not sure I want us reduced to their level. Think we play better without that.
Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.
