I don't mind the 8s from the perspective that it keeps the season alive for more teams overall, unfortunately not us this year.
Bottom replaced by top in the championship and second bottom plays second in the championship in a mpg on a neutral venue ?

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.
Think there will be a drop off in pass sales, but don’t think it will be huge. The last two years will have generated some goodwill. Next year is different though. Have to hit the ground running. If not, the pressure will start immediately
Thought the youngsters did ok,scott looked promising, are the tyson wilsons ready yet.mrs b was beating the drum telling us they were the next big thing ?

There’s no silver bullet - every system has its drawbacks. SL has made pretty exhaustive attempts to prove it these last few years.
I don’t watch a lot of NRL, but it was being lauded earlier in the thread. With 8 of 16 making the finals and no relegation, it must have its share of dead rubbers too.
Some years your team will have a duller season than others. But the idea that games don’t matter when trophies are out of reach is a psychological problem, not a scheduling one, imo.
My only preference is that we keep the new system is as simple as possible. Complex systems can chuck out anomalies - our last game of the regular season being an example, when all we really cared about was not losing key players to injury. That was weird.

Of course, it's nice to be optimistic. Like you were about staying up a couple of years ago.
I though Scott and Lane both went well. Litten's an interesting one for me. Talent and energy but physicality could be a challenge.

Lane Scott Massi Hakan Jez all had a good dig, Matongos best game looked strong and fit, next season when normal service hopefully resumes, these lads will be tremendous assets when they can be used as they should be in short spells of the season, with this experience it bodes well for the future.
would like to see Jez and Hakan in the halves as I think this season has been a step up to quick for Liam, no disrespect intended. Danny H needs to find his kicking game, long and short.
