The issues with the squad IMO are levels of injury this season and lack of penetration in the forwards, Taylor apart, which won't be resolved fully by injured players returning. I did like having Litten and Houghton on together tonight, that brought a different dimension. But we need to replace Watts and Ellis somehow.
For all he was the panto villain tonight, Watts showed what we’re missing. I wish he was still in the black and white. Ellis is irreplaceable unfortunately. After watching FC since 78, I’ve come to the conclusion he’s the best player and leader I’ve seen in an FC shirt. I’m still mourning him not being out there!

Scenarios are presented that are both reasonable and aligned to information we have that challenge this. Your only response is to resort to personal insults. Why not present a reasoned response?
I'm not implying anything. I merely restated what pearson had said (and radford talked about again last night on blunderside) to get people's views and some idea if that was likely to be normal then, as usual, you come out with some ramble that you believe to be correct then go to the nth degree defending it and throwing around comments in your own insulting way. It's not as clear cut as what is lead to believe there are many exceptions within the salary cap you will probably find that the actual money spent on wages is over the the salary cap. There are stipulations about how much of a homegrown players wages count towards the cap you may be paying a young lad 40k but say only 25 of that counts against the cap.
I think that 83% is a tad high for 17 players but don't know what the rest of clubs are spending but it doesn't leave a lot to have good quality replacements.

I said many many times on this forum we should have never re signed Kelly. I said his concussion would be the end of him as it was so bad and it wasn't his first concussion. For his future health, he needs to retire NOW. ala Heffernan Connor was and always will be the half back we need.
Think there is a rule if a player misses so many games through an injury that the club or player can claim insurance and write the players contract off. Bradford did this with a player called Tupou years ago.

Well we sort of know that the first 17 share about £1.5m so our first choice side averages £88k with the others, presumably Fash and Co on an average of £38k. As you say there will be nuances like homegrown players dispensation but I thought this only.applied to one player (albeit that was ages ago so quite possibly the rules have changed). There's then the marquee rule and that one about protecting international standard players or some such.
I guess the challenge is whether we spend more on the bottom end, maybe on more experienced depth, and offer less to, or offload, top end players like Taylor, Connor etc, or have more balance in the middle. The challenge for everyone at the moment is a difficult market so value for money is hard to come by.

But he also said that some of the bigger clubs also do.
