It’s a broncos thread, the nitial comment was weak refereeing.
It is noticeable complaining about officials has been very quiet when broncos are winning.
Refs calls are part of the game! But still say, have never once seen an official knock on, forward pass, tackle illegally, or be offside. 26 players on a park make errors and that’s ok, one bloke in the middle makes an error and the result of the game is his fault! We don’t get the elite refs, but then again we are not an elite team!

Who said I was not including elite referees. I made a comment about the referee a few months back when we won. Your statement about te players is one sided, if a player makes a mistake he is penalised, if a referee makes a mistake nothing happens. This season the referees were meant to be cracking done on players moving off the mark, after 2 weeks it went back to old routine. Players playing the ball pushing forward into the marker so they can gain a penalty and refs are letting them get away with it.

If this were true (and I'm not convinced it is) then aren't refs being biased towards the dominating teams.

Look at the game on sat! Broncos first half one up play! Tackled by 3 players put on there backside head facing there own line, that is dominating! That’s not the ref being biased to dominant team that’s the ref rewarding good defence.
The opposite works in attack, go through the tackle land on hands and knees you earn the quick ptb and the penalty if you get slowed down which we actually got in the second half. That’s not biased that’s rewarding good attack.

Sorry you've lost me, you were previously talking about 50/50 decisions going in favour of dominating team. Where's the 50/50 in those situations ?

Give me a 50/50 example!? There are very few! possibly ball coming out in the tackle, in that case if you are getting smashed by 3 or 4 defenders and ball bounces out chances are you probably knocked on! So without any definite evidence to say otherwise you will generally err on knock on not rip! So in that case dominance will will That’s not biased, that’s just the game.
Delaying the PTB is not 50/50, if a team dominate the tackle they earn the right to slow down the ptb, same if the player surrenders to the tackle, on the flip they get a quick ptb if they dominate in attack.
Reality in that game on Sat when we started to dominate funny old thing we started getting penalties.

50/50 call for you! Widnes game, turn over ball 5 mtrs out from Widnes line. Defensive line set. Widnes go to play the ball, and half dummy the PTB 4 or 5 london players move off the 10 mtrs by a fair mark, ball is then played, the call could easily have been london offside and arguably should have been. Why did Ref let it go? The call went london’s way because they earned that field position, they went early because of the dummy PTB. By laws of the game it’s offside, sensibly and rightly in that case because of the combination of events the refs chose to let it go! Right or wrong?

That's bias by the ref. Foul play is foul play not who has best defense or attack gets the decision
Ripped ball could quite easily be done with 4 or 5 players round you more chance than a dropped ball. Deliberately Delaying playing the ball and lying on too long is an offence . You need to reach read your posts you can be very aggressive with words and treat people like idiots

If refs are letting the general state of the game influence their decisions that explains to me why they are often inconsistent !!

Since you were the one who raised 50/50 calls, I assumed you had examples in mind. In the situation you describe, the ref has basically guessed what happened. So by definition he is being biased by a belief that it is more likely the ball was dropped than ripped out.
