It's one of the great mysteries to me that anyone should want to permanently mark their skin in such a way. They have ADHD/ADD? Sean Long looks a mess. A good looking bloke now resembles a mess.
I can understand the cultural aspect of players from the Pacific regions like NZ, Tonga, Samoa, Fiji etc but westerners?? Nah. Body ruined for life.

It's their body, they can do what the chuff they like to it personally.
Agree 100% Karen, its their choice whether they get a tattoo or not its a personal choice be it a RL Pro or a doctor etc.
I couldn't give a rats bottom if a player is tattooed from head to toe as long as they play well for my team. I don't watch RL for a clean cut image I watch it for the game itself, mind you I have to say some of the hairstyles being sported by players leaves a lot to be desired and think they need to seek professional help from a barber

.
As for tattoo's and the affect it has on a sport or personality it ain't done Mr Beckham much harm or football.
So its neither a Yay or Nay from me as its personal choice by each individual.
