Lamport Stadium is owned by the city of Toronto. It's been around for a while. Not the fanciest stadium in the world, but it's the ideal venue for this city and attracts supporters for different reasons than personal comfort. It's very close to downtown and served by two streetcar (tram) routes and a suburban train station. No need to drive, so you can enjoy the craft beer garden. The atmosphere is easygoing and the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. There are five big pubs close by. It's a short walk to BMO Field where Toronto FC and the Toronto Argos (CFL) play.

Many of the supporters are younger adults and a lot of families come out.

Yes, the VIP section is just a couple of tents and we'd get wet if it rained, but so far neither of those issues have bothered the fans.

Early last year, the city replaced the playing surface and upgraded it to 4G artificial turf. Any future renovations would have to be worked out with the city ... let's see where that goes.

Nothing wrong with the stadium...although it is dated and could use some enhancements (which has begun). its a work in progress....but its what goes on in the stadium field that really matters now isn't it?

How about a bit of co-operation with visas.???

I have heard no complaints except about the womens washrooms last year and this seems to have been resolved. Interestingly, I have heard that 'corporate facilities must be provided for visiting SL teams and Lamport isn't adequate " though...this is troubling. Silly...let the fat cats take what is provided, it is more than adequate...what do you think we are running over here, some type of outdated class system, get with the program...not on!

If we gave visiting teams any more of a hand with the Visas we would need a prosthesis!

Looking at Toronto's game versus Halifax I'm tempted by the 10 start Fax receive. Bookies also have Toronto clear of Salford as 3rd Favs which I think is daft? Il nail my colours straight to the mast. I hope TWP lose every game and the whole concept goes back to whatever dark corner of a mad mind it came from.

Run with the Fax

If Toronto get promoted that's fine (as long as it isn't at our expense of course).

I just expect them have the same rules applied to them as all the other teams. To me they're just another team and don't care where they happen to call home.

Back on track, I think we know what Toronto might be like, Toulouse are the away game that might be more dangerous, and we're not talking about them.

And the Geek shall inherit the Earth!

But the rules have been different for Toronto from the start...and not in a good way. An example would be no central funding whatsoever and the expense, paid for by Toronto for flights, rooms, etc. You are trying to have your cake and eat it too...I don't blame you. And I don't know about them being just the same as other teams, seems to be alot of anti Toronto bias floating around these days...just stating the facts.

Toulouse plays a wide open game and if they get in the groove I honestly feel they could literally beat anyone, even Toronto. The trick is to disrupt their flow immediately....or points will be racked up against you quickly...SL team or not.

I would worry more about Toronto though...if a hungry wolf is at the tent flap in the deep bush you should give him your full attention... shouldn't be worrying about the porcupine behind the tree by the fire.
Open that tent door and let us in......well we all know how that one plays out.

All 4 Championship sides are capable enough. Leigh and Fev wouldn't have been out of their depth either.Toulose and London play a fairly open game from what I've seen and last middle 8s I thought London's back 5 were probably the slickest unit in the comp?Yes we have been on an upward curve last month or so and the team looks strong but im still nervous as a fan and a win on Friday would make me a whole lot more confident
