RL journalist Gary Carter tweeted this last night.
"Hearing a club may be set to make a surprise transfer announcement today. One that will really spark a reaction if it happens."
Could well have been MCB but I think it had already been announced.
Shame for him that his stint with us came at a time when we already had two excellent wingers who know where the try line is. Always looked good when he did play for us.
Good luck to the lad. Certainly quick and always acquitted himself well for Trin, just unfortunate for him that we have TJ and BJB, bot of whom are in excellent form.
I liked MCB, but he was the 4th choice winger we have in our squad (I would have ranked Tupou above him). At the end of the day, super league for 2019 is secured, so we dont need the cover. It reduces our wage bill and allows him game time, which is what someone of his quality and try scoring return deserves. I wish him the best.
Also as a side note, if there were any other offers rfom other clubs, and one would have to assume that there probably were, can you blame him for picking Toronto and getting the chance to experience life over there, albeit only shortly. From what I have heard first hand, its a pretty good life as a pro sportsman in toronto.
Shrewd move from Toronto if Salford and Hull K R had shown an interest. I am sure he will get plenty of game time but Toronto could sit him on the sidelines rather and deny other teams using him in what must be nervous time for both clubs.

can't imagine a side like them side line him just so he doesn't play against them
I think the whole MCB thing was tied in with TJ staying and pledging his services for few more years, I he had have left like some of rumours had predicted MCB was perfect to drop straight in, he’s done great job, but not better than what we have, soon as TJ put pen to paper he was always going ,,, good luck, he will make himself a star somewhere !

No but I think with the exception of possibly Leeds, all the other teams in the Middle Eights would love to have somebody with MCB speed and calibre at this stage.
MCB will get game time as two Toronto backs are out for season. If Toronto were to get into Superleague I would question MCB going to them as they have Liam and Matty on the wings and he still wouldn’t be guaranteed to start. There are a few other teams that he would be a shoe in for starting. Rhinos losing Hall my go the cheaper option and sign him as he’s better than Goulding for a wing spot.
