No Flanagan or Bustin in the Bulls 19 squad for Saturday. New signing Jonny Pownall in line to make his debut.

The game was a bit stop start, but that was because of the way the game was ref’d. There were mistakes that prevented additional tries, but many of those mistakes looked to players just being a half second off timing wise. But that’s what happens when you bring in new players, especially halves. As I said on the day, when some of those little inventive plays start sticking someone’s in for a hiding.

I thought that it was an absolutely awful game to watch. Heaps of mistakes and an inconsistent refereeing performance. Nevertheless a 46-0 win is better than I expected. We increased our points difference gap over York so that was a bonus.



Pickersgill and Lilley stood out and there was a heck of a shift from Crossley. Some others were below par. Whitehaven were very poor. We could've had 60.

A couple did yeah, but they've had others play for them this year who are still at KR. No idea how many games each of them have played though.

There is a lot of harsh criticism on here some of which is justified. To say it is the worst game of rugby ever seen is I think a bit over the top. I thought it was a game of two halves - the first half was pretty much error free( I know there were some but not many) and we scored 4 tries. The start of the second half was pretty poor we made error after error in the first 20 or so minutes but it did improve after that and there were certainly some positives. Firstly we nilled them and secondly we scored some really good tries - in fact all four tries were pretty good in their own way. So I would say all in all not a bad weekend particularly with York's result.
