Yes possibly. Although it could just mean a different approach to things. Ellis has already said he doesn't see the role he's in as a future role, so I'd assume we'd appoint someone in the role and maybe move Gaz to a more hands on coaching role.
Spot on controls the cap and sorts out all the legal and contractual stuff, he's head of the administration side of the organisation and has really sorted it all out, he's right hand man to Adam on that front. Radford says who he wants and Ellis does the negotiations within the financial parameters the owner and Clark sets is how I understand it works at present.

I don't believe Ellis actually does very much tbh. Now looks like it was a poor apponitment to me, completely out of his comfort zone and not making much of an impact in the role. I'm fairly certain he won't be doing it for much longer. People talk about losing some of of our key players over the last couple of seasons but our biggest loss will prove to be Motu, his recruitment was the catalyst to our recent success.

I know their roles aren’t exactly the same, but I do wonder if Motu Tony found it easier to come in having been out of the Hull FC dressing room for 5 years. Ellis was obviously a leader while a player, but still a team mate as well - possibly making it hard for him to be ruthless where needed as DoR.
Just a thought - there was no visible evidence of squeamishness in pushing Watts through the exit, I know.
