Good luck and give me a shout if you find someone.
I'm willing to donate the first twenty quid if we all fancy a whip round?

What are you on about? Nobody is saying give him a job for life FFS or even a five year contract just that sacking him at the end of the season would be crazy.

The club learnt the hard way after prematurely getting rid of a great coach in Peter Sharp after a poor start in 2008 despite a brilliant 2006 and a top four finish in 2007 despite losing Cooke and Swain mid-season. Sharp had earnt the right to have a full season to turn things around but the club got rid and things got a lot worse.

The main reason Sharp left was he gave certain people running the club at the time a piece of his mind.

For me Sharp was the best coach this club has had and he stuck to his morals and principles which may well have cost him his job but not his reputation as a top coach.

On LR he deserves the chance to right the wrongs but fir me what is concerning is the constant repeat of the same mistakes and poor basics.
He also really needs to look at bringing in someone from outside the club with experience as an attacking coach. We need to be able to vary our game with us far to static and reliant in Sneyd and predictable.
Our recruitment this season looks to be average at best and retaining all of Mini, Manu & Washy is a massive error.

I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

He might get the odd game next year (hopefully not because of an injury crisis) but he's probably a couple of years off being a first teamer. His you tube video is impressive but that's against lower league opposition rather than the likes of Amor, Flower, Murdoch-Masila etc.

Masi is only a year younger than Luke Thompson at saints and watch him ,masi doesn't break the line has no leg drive when meeting defence and often ends up stood still that's ok if your gonna try to offload the ball but he never does.
Fash and masi hardly took any drives versus rovers and were happy to be dummy (option) runners
Green hasn't developed and has stood still last cpl of years bit of a passenger when he's not unfortunately injured

That said I worry we have signed too many 'past masters' up for next year and as for Abdull I think you might well get your wish Mr Bobness.

For all we know Taylor signed his contract months ago and its only just been announced due to our recent form. and now IF radders is leaving it has caused some unrest amongst the players.

I'm not saying the rumour is true and personally hope its not as I believe he has earned the right to start next season in charge,

sack him on what reason, winning the cc twice, finishing 3 twice, finishing 6th when other teams like wires and leeds who have had bad injuries all year have finished bottom 4, seemingly given the club a good culture, ?

It’s hard to judge the season due to the injuries we’ve encountered.
What the injuries can’t do though is mask any shortcomings we’ve shown.
Attacking structures definitely need tweaking. I’d use the remaining games to try some things out attacking wise.
Also the retention’s are something I’m not sure about. Radfords proved his doubters wrong many times over the last few years, and maybe this will be the case again.
Still think we’ll see one or two coming in, with a few leaving.

Players out of contract at the end of the year have to be told by the 1st of May what, if any, new contract is to be offered to them.
It's good for the players, but makes life difficult for the club when form dips towards the end of the season.

Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

We should be building on that not staying still. All the top 4 clubs play a different style of Rugby league to us.The game is changing but Radford doesnt seem to want to change his style.
Major mistake in retaining certain players and not refreshing the squad.Even runaway Champions St Helens have made substantial signings.
I appreciate we have had injuries but so have other clubs.
In my opinion complacency has crept in.

We all know we have attacking deficiencies in the opposition 20.Our attack is too deep making it easy to defend,we dont take the ball to the line and engage the defender (something we could learn from HKR) slow passing, poor backing up and lack of dummy runners has been evident to see week after week yet doesnt get any better.
Surely even you can see that.

What you should do is listen to Radfords interview after the HKR game
Quote
I dont want to shift the ball I want to go through them

He seems to forget he has lost Watts (who was our best forward) and we no longer have a powerful set of forwards who put fear in the opposition
Gone are the days when we had Pritchard and Ellis coming off the bench

This current squad will have difficulty making the top eight next season if its not strengthened. We are nowhere near the current top 4 and now Huddersfield are coming good,Catalan will be strong,Wakefield we know what they can do,then add into the mix Leeds and HKR.
As interesting as they are i dont want this club to be involved in the middle eight play offs do you?

To be fair, on a night like Friday, with a greasy ball, it was never going to be fast hands type of rugby.

I think too many are placing too much emphasis on who the opposition were rather than looking at the bigger picture. The stark reality is that this season was just about blown apart in May with the amount of long term injuries we have had to endure. This factor alone should tell you that judging Radford on the teams performances is not a fair reflection on his ability to get a team ready when we have had so many out for so long. For me, Radford should be allowed to start 2019 with a clean slate, BUT we must see improvement in our ability to compete and take advantage of field position.

It does seem a bit baffling that Mini, Manu and Washbrook have all been retained. I'd like to see a few more shipped out and a monster forward signed. IMO the only young forwards who have done enough to suggest they can cut it at SL level are Matongo and Lane. Downs and Fash both will give you 100% but I feel they are not adding to the team.
