Think we need the following:
Centre, Winger, Stand Off, Prop, 3 Back Rowers
All need to be starting quality that would get into the Saints, Warrington, Cas, Wigan teams if we are to challenge again.
That’s too many to integrate over one year so we are looking at minimum 2 years, perhaps more. Of course it assumes that we have the will to spend and bring these players in. No point having a shiny new stadium and all that debt with a poor team no one wants to come and watch.
It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Well we’ve signed a quality stand off so that’s taken care of .
For me, Sutcliffe needs to nail a spot in the team now. Either centre or back row. Personally I think if he bulked up he could be a quality ball playing lose. Either way, whichever position he claims, we need to fill the other with a new signing.

I agree with the rest of what you said.
People’s say Sutcliffe could be a ball playing loose, but he is not a good ball player. He is not good at much to br right.

Sutcliffe needs to go, seriously. This is exactly why we are where we are, messing about with players who simply can not make it. We have let go far better players than Sutcliffe over the years because there wasn’t an opportunity to put them in. He got lucky with his timing, and for some reason became hyped up on a basis he had actually never demonstrated he was capable of. He is not bad as a squad filler, but that isn’t the role he is playing, or it seems wants to play. He thinks he is better, but he isn’t. He isn’t anywhere near as good as Smith for playing loose for example, so why keep thinking up positions for someone given so many chances.
Same with the likes of Keinhorst, Handley, Walters, Lilley. Plenty of chances, not the required standard, go with the next set age group and give that a go.

Biggest and most important next signing is a bloody good coach.
I know they have said they’ll look at it at the end of this term but I hope it’s a true root and branch one. We’ve failed on so many levels it’s untrue. Someone mentioned to much power distilled into one mans hands a few years ago, seems they were right.

I'd like to see Ward move to LF. Singleton, cuthbo and Garbutt van then focus on prop.
The back row is a problem. Ablett,Delaney and jjb are knackered. Ferres has been unlucky in that he's never really got a good injury free stretch . Got this next year left, given we need 3 new back rowers I'd see about him later while we build.
The backs... we have signed a SO and myler we are going to have to give time and a chance behind a good pack. Fullback is a big issue too I think, walker has potential but young and prone to mistakes, golding isn't good enough. I'd be looking to bring in someone for a year or two while Walker develops. Centre needs replacing and wing isn't looking good.
Honestly think the 're build will take 3 years at least due to messing about this last years

Walker is easily good enough to be first choice fullback.
We need a centre and couple of backrowers more urgently

We also desperately need a place kicker - there's no-one at the club who looks to have the technique or discipline to become a decent 80%+ kicker, and if we'd have taken more of our points from the tee this year we wouldn't be in this mess.
