The game at Swinton is one that I will remember him for, Hutchison and Hall were our halfbacks and Hall in particular was supplying short passes for Bodene to run onto, he ripped the Swinton defence to shreads!
I thank Bodene for his efforts this season. This will now be the third consecutive season we have had a wholesale clearout of playing Staff
what a shambles
You could argue it's the 4th, given the shift of players signing up to Toronto in 2016.
Shambles is the right word. I think Derek Beaumont will be remembered as an owner who's heart was in the right place, but his head and ego weren't. When we finally had the investment there to give us a chance to establish ourselves in SL, the chance was blown due to inept decision making. Particularly in the close season this year.
The fact that the standout half back performance this year was from a utility back sums up why we've failed this season.
As for Bodene Thompson, very good player imo, but was also part of the problem in the early part of the season, when he was clearly unfit.
