He was a good player at wigan and Warrington saw something in him, he then suffered some really testing off field issues but is now looking to get back on track, he could turn out to be a pretty shrewd signing
I think the issue to be fair is more to do with the apparent lack of concentration on the required marquee quality we actually need, and because of that these type of players that actually do add to the ability of a squad become a bit of a sacrifice out of frustrations.
I think we can understand the frustrations, and if these were as good as it got for 2019, then they would be right on having a problem. But putting these lads in, with the quality required, would be a big step up from where we are. Both players have the potential to be very good for us, with the right players around them. But right now, with the position we are in, they are certainly a good lift for the team.

Agree with most of that but i will add neither will be "squad fillers" & just like with Ferres that points to poor recruitment.

We got hin on a years approval effectively & still gave him a 3yr deal after an injury hit average season thats poor recruitment as was giving sick note Delaney 5yrs wasting 2yrs on Ormanroyd etc etc

In hindsight Ferres is poor business but don't forget he was an England international backrow starter at the time and had options in the NRL including a 2 year deal from Sydney Roosters iirc. At the time i and i'm sure many others expected him to slot in nicely but it just hasn't worked out sadly.

Would be a fee involved as he’s under contract until 2020. Unless they are willing to grant him a release. Has he not been in good form for NQL though?
