But t does mean next week is must win it is anyway but hey ho. Talking to fax fans last week, the important thing in there eyes is the extra funding following year, don’t think they have any realistic aspiration of promotion. What is interesting, Leigh unlikely now to make the 4 despite the SL money they got.
Great performance today, our defense was formidable. Okay Kieran Dixon dropped the ball a couple of times, on one occasion it lead to their try, but despite it all we kept them out. His kicking was off too which upped the pressure on the team a bit In truth Fev failed to take advantage of the slope in the first half only scoring at the end. Dixon interception try got us going. The game turned when Fev forced a drop out and from a great kick we managed to get the ball out of play. From then on we were on top. You could see that they struggled to go forward up hill. The score should have been greater, Jay Pitts had a perfectly good try chalked off, even Fev fans had to concede that it should have stood. Ref on the whole had a pretty good game. Many Fev fans will tell you different, but he let the game run, which made it all the better. It was a great day, a fantastic result. We had a decent following up there too. So well done one and all and on to next week.

A roller coaster of a game, with nerves, elation, and frustration in equal measure. I felt if we went in 6 down having played up the hill we would win and so it (almost) proved. That said, we made hard work of it. Dixon dropped pin point bombs 3(?) times, but on the +ve side made the length of the field intercept to change the impetus (fair play to Richard Moore, the prop trying to chase down KD). Usually reliable performers dropping the ball with no pressure Evans, Api, Cunno, Ben. Eloi, I just cant work out, all these lateral runs and random off loads, just can be part of the game plan, and similarly Api, I am always left scratching my head.
I was at a family event so couldn't even listen to the radio! Had to keep checking twitter every 60 seconds to see if there was another update. Finish the job off next week, then take a run at the teams in the 8s - have a bit of fun with it and see what happens.
