It was a brutal day to be a Hull fan and tbh I felt for you. I knew we’d win from the start regardless of who you picked, we are a good team who due to a few very narrow defeats we’re in a false position imho.
Didn’t expect the score line, nobody expects those. I enjoyed it in a way but I’m not sure it’s does the teams involved of the game in general a lot of good.
Fact is we will want to play like that again now and it simply won’t happen - it could in an odd way derail us both. I wanted a comfortable 16 point win not that tbh.
As for you you’ll get over it eventually - if nothing else it will stick in your minds when you pay us again which may well be a good thing for you.

It's the manner of the defeat as the depressing fact that the next 8 games mean very little.
The key now is to try and get some confidence back and prepare for 2019

In my eyes it’s only a concern if it keeps happening , or if we don’t bounce back next week with a good performance and win ! I didn’t go today, but maybe everything went wakeys way like they sometimes do in games . I didn’t fancy us today , thought wakey had more to play for anyway so result was no shock , just the score line .
I think a lot of things did go our way yesterday, two dropped balls/missed passes from you guys resulted in tries for us (BJB and Miller). We just had one of those days where we capitalised on every mistake, most weeks that doesn't happen. I thought you guys looked like you'd rushed players back who weren't 100% and in that heat they really struggled.
I suspect when we play you again in the Super 8s that it will be a very different story.

Just for information Burtons Forearm is a Kingston Rovers fan. I think he means Fifita didn't go the distance against his team.
Well done on the win yesterday, just a bad dream for us but like you we're in the super eights unlike aforementioned Rovers (and Leeds HAHA).
Maybe it's after a realisation that you have had 2 of the most successful years in your history then this happens to really condemn a year back to mediocrity and normality that is what is adding to the pain a bit. Taking it in context every team will have that throughout a year ( maybe not 72!!) but a beating none the less, but the bigger picture of it confirming you have taken 2 steps back is what really takes the biscuit.
FWIW - as a KR fan I am gutted with the timing. There is absolutely no way on earth you will play that bad or be allowed to play that bad again, so in front of a big gate on Friday you will put a show on. We could of done with you taking it a bit easier so we could rest a few for the middle 8's - if i was TS i'd be thinking your going to be 100 miles an hour now so if we end up on the receiving end of a similar scoreline our confidence will be diminished. A bit of a conundrum now isn't it for us!
Take the banter, don't be bitter and enjoy the we won the derbies 3-0 trophy that's going to come next week. Trust me, relegation feeling is a lot worse.
I think what everyone thinks, is that we know we have players out injured and we haven't had a full strength side, but what we have done is handed out contracts for next year to players who miss a vast amount of games. The squad isnt going to change from what it is now, and that worries me for next year. Remaining with the same personnel means we play the same style of game. We don't have the biggest forwards anymore, we perhaps do in the backs, but I would rather have pace. Wakefield have a bigger pack, and more pass on the wings than we do, so they can play 2 different styles of rugby if they want. With us, if we can't go over them, we still try to go over them
Big gamble yesterday, playing injured players which clearly didn't pay off.
Was it worth the risk? Probably not, as we have probably aggravated injuries etc. Radford is a great coach, and is our future, but he got this wrong and he knows it.
Bit of a disaster of a day really. I think we are in for another hiding on Friday to be honest. While I'm sure the players will want to right wrongs, we simply don't have the bodies - even the ones playing are strapped up and fatigued. Season is over but at least we have managed to stay out of the bottom four and we've had chance to build some real experience within the fringes of our squad - which should help next year!
