2017 - July - 9 game ban then 6 months on appeal, then an apology
2018 - July - 7 game ban.
Think that's says it all really. Whether you think he is hard done by at the discipline end or not, whether you rate him or not. Bottom line, 3 years in a row he's not been available when the team needs him most.
First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can. “Up The Comics !”

I agree.
It should have been considerably more, late and off the ball. However The panel showed some leniency with Mr Acton and included the Batley game as one match as it was very early. Otherwise it would have been the full 8 games.

Hmmm
2016 - June - 7 game ban then an apology
I remember this disgraceful incident, when Acton shoved a player in the back. As for the Greg Bird incident. You seem to have conveniently forgotten that cheating/dirty Greg Bird 'smashed' into Ben Reynolds, but got it all wrong, and came off 2nd best. That's why Acton lifted him up, and told the cheat what he thought of him. I honestly couldn't care less if he ever plays for us again. But here you all are on your 'self righteous' soap boxes, making out that you hate any kind of 'foul play' on a Rugby field. Maybe you should all go watching netball instead....

I wasn't refering to the pushing a player in the back, I was refering to this:
Jamie Acton (Leigh Centurions) pleaded guilty to a charge of Grade D repeated punching against Swinton Lions on May 22nd. He was found guilty and received a four match ban and a £100 fine. Acton also pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of Grade D striking with knee on Zach Johnson of Swinton Lions on May 22nd. He was found guilty and given an additional three match supsension.
What Greg Bird did was also "Out of order", but I couldn't care less about him, All I am interested in is our players and sat in the stands at the business end of the season wont help our cause.
For what it is worth I quite like Acton but getting banned for the last 3 seasons at this important time, how would you like us to be?

Oh, sorry. I'm getting mixed up with all his bans. That Swinton incident was bad, him & Gaz Hock really 'went for it'.
