Yet another key player injured in this wretched season. It's amazing that we're still in fifth, credit to the coaching staff and fringe players.
We have to win one of the next two or it's a distinct possibility that we'll go in to the Super 8s seven points behind Warrington with a significantly inferior points difference. As it stands we are likely to face trips to Saints, Warrington and Cas with Wigan coming to the KCom.
Very disappointing after the highs of the last two years but we have to hope that we have much better luck in 2019 with injuries.

credit should be given to those players who have kept us in touch of the top 4, to just dismiss that is an insult to those players that have played patched up and kept us up there week in week out!
Not in any way dismissing what this team have achieved in terrible injury circumstances this year, summed up by the cup defeat at Saints which was magnificent. Losing Connor & Sneyd and with Kelly strapped up though is difficult enough but also if Faraimo gets a ban we are missing 1, 2, 4, and 5 with 3 (Carlos) playing busted. Wakefield are scrapping for the 8s with home advantage so just can't see anything but a heavy defeat. This isn't being negative just realistic - it's great that we're safe and that's a praiseworthy achievement itself given the context.
The potential of this side is strong. In the backs we have Griffin who was exceptional until injury, Connor with an international breakthrough, Carlos all class and playing with a knock, Talanoa top SL try scorer until injury and Faraimo who's settling great in now but just needs to sort his discipline, MoS nominee Albert Kelly and double Lance Todd winner Marc Sneyd. We have a very good squad but just can't them on the pitch.

Yes, although to be fair Taylor I think is taking on the Ellis captaincy mantle. Shaul Faraimo Connor Tuimavave Talanoa Kelly Sneyd Taylor Houghton Bowden Manu Hadley Westerman
Paea Minichiello Green Griffin
Is a good first choice 17 next year with the likes of Miloudi, Masi, Fash, Downs, Turgut, Lane, Scott, Harris all gaining loads of SL experience this year. Feeling positive already.
Proud of the players last night. The fact they scored 4 tries in the 2nd half whilst we had men out of the line getting treatment just shows the issues we have had all season. Green injuring his back on the bloody sideline! Thought Abdull played well, his passing accuracy and speed is something we missed.
Sounds mad to say it, but at full strength we beat them last night and in the cup

I thought play had to stop straight away for head/neck injuries, clearly the ruling has now changed.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

There was a lot of inconsistency last night. Ruck was managed differently for both sides - an obvious flop by Richardson in the 2nd half goes unpunished and then Lane penalised a few moments later. Every one of their knocks seemed to stop play whereas we had to play on and they took advantage
