But yes I agree, and even if the Earth exists in a 'Goldilocks' zone, the claim that NO other life forms have developed somewhere among the estimated 1024 stars in the known universe seems illogical. An estimate that rises as our abilities of observation increase.

Personally, I like Arthur C Clarke's suggestion that lifeforms could exist in Jupiter's gasses and beneath the ice of Europa - and therefore by implication almost anywhere. Even in our upper atmosphere, perhaps? 8)

But whether any of those lifeforms have developed interstellar travel and have somehow happened upon the Earth within the void, and are abducting rednecks, is another question entirely.

That tends to be my attitude - it's reasonable to surmise that other *life forms* exist, but to leap from that to some of the crackpot theories about aliens constructing ancient structures and abducting stupid people, requires faith akin to the equally dense theories that stubbornly persist around religious beliefs.

I've always believed there to be other life forms out there. Whether they are little green men with antennas and three eyes remains to be seen.

The odds on there being no other life forms anywhere else in the universe are so vanishingly low, they are similar to the odds that intelligent aliens have ever travelled to Earth.

Lets hope they don't come and read some of the local trolls posts on here, they will feel intelligent to us?

You sound like you are an expert in this field. Why isn’t it “crackpot” to believe certain structures weren’t created by humans?

Listen!...we will hear them long before we see them. They will have had to use radio waves long, long, before they are capable of space travel...its just the natural law of things.

We really haven't heard them yet...but man oh man are we ever making a lot of noise since the invention of the radio...those first radio waves and every subsequent one, are still traveling through space at a high rate of speed.

We will hear them long before we see them.
