I honestly can see you breezing through the eights. Sheens has put a very good side together and I can see you performing well in Superleague next year. I think you may even be favourites for the upcoming derby.

IMO there is not the slightest doubt we will finish no lower than 10th we are looking up the table now not down.

I look forward to watching the Salford game.

Against Cas, I thought we rallied superbly to win a point, having been second best for 60 minutes. We could have nicked the win at the end, but we were outscored 5 tries to 4. Away against Cas is a real challenge nowadays, so undoubtedly a good result.

We were very good against Hudds and ran up a score on Salford. However, if your memory stretches back further than that, our record of putting runs of wins together in SL isn’t great, over... well, all our years in SL. Hopefully this where that starts to change.

Even if we win two or even three of our final three before the split, getting better than 4 home games in the middle 8s is out of our hands. Fingers crossed and that, but we’d need some luck.

If Salford are as hopeless as you suggest, Catalans beating them will put the French beyond our reach. Wakefield and Hudds play each other in round 23, by which point trinity might be safe and less motivated than the giants. Or vice versa. Leeds still have Widnes to come, and Salford.

We're an absolute shambles. We're facing the prospect of going into the middle 8's on the back of 16 (SIXTEEN!!) straight defeats which, regardless of what may happen in those 7 extra games, is certainly not form fitting of a top flight team. We were lucky last year as there were a few teams that were equally as bad as we were but that isn't the case this year.

I can't see Hull KR having any problems in the middle 8's.

I mean this quite literally, just how big is Robbie Mulhern these days? He looks like he’s grown a few inches and become a man mountain since his return from injury. Still can’t belIeve that Leeds let him go as he’s head and shoulders above all there props bar Garbutt (but then he’s an old experienced enforcer so ought to be).

I’m more confident than I have been for a while. Not saying very much, but it is true.

It’s fine margins though. One funny result can put you under huge pressure. There’s always that ‘what if somebody has a rush of blood and gets sent off after 10 minutes vs Halifax or London’.

We should be alright. Most importantly, imo, it feels like we understand our situation.

Don’t worry, I am!

In fairness, she has been trying to represent a mathematical possibility as a plausible outcome. I’m just saying that, more likely than not we’ll be in the middle 8s, and they can’t be taken for granted.

But we’re playing better now than for a long time, with key players returning to the team. The addition of Tompkins, the expected imminent return and arrival of Carneys Justin and Todd, respectively - it all makes us look stronger.

If you want sunnier than that, you’re conversing with the wrong guy.

Im not zook emas hose who’s over the top predictions left him looking a little stupid but there was a point earlier in the season when I thought we’d never win a game so to go 3 unbeaten has surpassed any expectations this season

Remember the general despair when we signed Danny 'oh no!' Tickle and Junior 'who?' Vaivai? Funny how things turn out.

Might dig the thread up.
