What we need now is get shut of the average and below average players, the table doesn't lie, we have the worst attack and defence in the top 6, last week we made a poor Rochdale look good , today Swinton scored 24 points away from home that doesn't happen very often,we have a powder puff defence, drop to many balls, and have no kicking game whatsoever.
We let 2 form halves in SL go, didn't even play one of them at halve last season, all reasons for being where we now find ourselves. My prediction is Derek will stay, but some tough decisions have to made by him, especially on the field. The next 8 games will reveal a painful lesson in crowds and atmosphere, hopefully Derek will know most are his mistakes mainly in recruitment, and stay and put things right.
Wise words Charlie.
2 big decisions for DB off the field.
If this is the team that KC built (and we were told it was) then he needs to go.
If KP is the main man (he gets my vote) then he needs to be given the ability to select his own backroom staff (after KC goes) and have the final say on each and every player.
We may not have the overall total funding that we had this year but smart player recruitment could still see us as a very good team if we are full time.
