Haven’t you Posted a few times that we are the most profitable club? Don’t all the teams work to the same cap? A cap that is increasing a lot for next year. I don’t believe Warrington spend anymore on wages than we or any other club. If one club can afford, then others can.
I think you possibly meant, Warrington might be the only club with the ambition to match their spending power. Risk that it is.

I haven't posted about the profitability of Leeds, as far as I can remember. Although, profitability doesn't equate to spending power. The salary cap is increasing by less than £200k, and I'd also suggest that given Moran's fortune, spending £1 million a season on Austin isn't much of a risk for him at all.

The cap is going up 100k. Spending 470k (I think that’s what the last Canberra offer equates to) would be crazy all things equal.
Which means the marquee rule comes into question. Warrington are one of the few clubs willing to use it, and probably the team most willing to go that far beyond the 175k cap cost.
Wigan (Tomkins and Williams), Saints (Barba) and Warrington (Roberts) spend more because of the rule. Hull (Kelly) will join the list next year.
As I recall Hetherington was against using the marquee rules along with McManus at Saints whom has obviously changed his tune, so it’s entirely possible Hetherington would too - but it would directly affect profitability as its spending over and above the cap.

Apparently, the last offer was 2 million Aussie dollars a year.

We already have a marquee player used too, and on big money, just like other teams. Difference for us is he is academy developed, so the actual cap element is different to the others you mentioned. But with an increas3 in cap next year, you could revert the other way if an option was available.

I've just seen him at FB for Wests, but not sure where he played at NZ, he may well have played in the halves, either way, he's an improvement on what we have.
