Don't get me wrong, me and my lad stand apart, but that is due to the fact they have their circle of friends and I have mine.

Let's face it, he's 17 now, and bigger than me. He doesn't need babysitting. Though every so often, I look across to check he's ok

1st I would advise him not to stand in the heart of the French supporters. 2nd I would say not to goad any hot heads who may be full of beer after a days drinking, especially if their team is getting mullered.

Would they have allowed a group of 30 odd castleford supporters or of any other club for that matter to do the same, No they wouldn't. So why would we for catalans?
The catalans lads were absolutely doing nothing wrong but if the roles were reversed with Wakefield fans in perpignan the result would be exactly the same.

Behaviour like that is unacceptable in any part of society be it at a sporting event or just in the public domain......But, we've had some very hairy moments in the ground at Perpignan and on our way back into town, the last time we went there ended up being a quite large Melee (sp) after one of our group got a crack, I think it's on Slugger McBats phone.
Rugby league unfortunately isn't the wholesome family sport people like to project these days.
