It’s and could have beens All nonsense
Connor wouldn’t have been at 6 and played for England if Sneyd and Kelly we’re fit Injuries are normal In 2016 we had barely any and guess what ? We blow the easiest chance of a Treble
Last night we had 7 out of the first choice 17 missing, that's almost half of those who would be playing. Despite that we really could have won had those on the pitch performed at even a half decent level. Is that progress or does it indicate that some of those players just aren't up to it?
If you look at the younger players
fash masi downs logan miloudi scott
How many of those do you see developing into top SL players or even regular SL level starters?
Our attacking structures are poor - do we play like leeds under mcdermott? Too off the cuff with not enough structure or is it just because our main organiser isn't on the pitch (sneyd)
Defensively we aren't as aggressive as some teams. We seem to have a static defensive line and give away too many metres easily. Our goal line defense isn't good enough, our wingers constantly jamb in creating easy tries out wide and our compressed defense doesn't spread quickly enough creating space on the outside.
We still don't have a mindset of backing up meaning breaks invariably don't turn into tries and our passing is woefully slow and easy to read what we are doing.
Plenty to fix up IMO but you really can't judge this season too harshly given the long and numerous injuries to key players. If we finish the season in 5th it will have been a reasonable achievement IMO.
And for those amongst us saying about cas and their heroic performances - what happened to them last weekend?

Retired hooker ? Please Stop mentioning injuries That’s why Connor is number 34 ! We have a squad of full time players aged over 18 Lee Crooks was 18 at Elland Rd that night
You should always imagine your full squad then take 4 players out and that’s how it’ll be for the whole season on average
We are losing in the Mental stakes and that’s the coach - Simple !!!!!!! We played as if AP had come into the dressing room and offered the team a bonus of 500 quid each if they won Initially it looked like it hard had an effect then after about 15 mins the players seemed to realise that was a puss take
3rd and a CC win x 2 and probably 6th and no silver
Is that enough ? Maybe ?
Is that enough for AP ? Fans in general ?
Personally I would think long and hard about the set up for next season I really would Would I make a decision - If wait until season end then decide The coach needs to think long and hard as to how he wants this season to play out It should be a credit to him not a blot on his track record
Wont get away with injuries in the modern day, teams are miles fitter.

We got battered by a very good Catalans team on the day. That's the thing with injuries, the young players coming in cannot replace the injured players on a consistent basis.
As an outsider looking in, Hull have had a terrible time with injuries this season, not just numbers but key players. I think you should cut the team some slack, 5th is a good position all things considered and you still have a shot at the 4, especially if you can get some key players back.

We had plenty of injuries when we played Saints away in the cup but put in a great performance that day.
That was because we had the right attitude and commitment.
Last night both attitude and commitment were seriously lacking.
Our defensive line was all over the place and the gaps were alarming at times. Massive difference in how Huddersfield defended their line and how we did.
In attack players were passing for the sake of it and not drawing the opposition to them.
We can do it but our attitude has to be right. Last night it was way off.
Disappointing result but not surprised considering the injuries we have. Also players playing with injuries eg Taylor, Mini, Kelly & Carlos doesn't help. Yet again a player on benefit (Danny) has a poor season relative to norm. The youngsters coming in can do a job to a point but not every week. Not having reserve system does not help with their development. I know all teams have injuries but we have had so many long term key players out this year. We were lucky last 2 years injury wise and that is the difference. Look whats happened to Leeds since loosing Watkins. Still in with a chance of GF but its getting slim

It’s difficult for us at present, two very flat performances by the boys, we need some troops back to freshen us up, our system worked with Scott Taylor Houghton Watts, with Bowden Green coming of the bench, the way it’s panning out without Liam and Josh our go forward has diminished, consequently Houghtons running game has disappeared, were out of sync, and without replacing Watts with like for like, we will struggle, pretty abject display by our top players, and the criticism of young lads is unnecessary, they are also part of our mistimed system, and will struggle accordingly. Wouldn’t be surprised to do Saints next, it’s time for good fans to stick together and support the boys. We were poor last night, It’s that type of season.
