He’s overseen the successful introduction of Walker, Oledski, Smith, Golding, Singleton, Handley, Lilley, Walters, Newman, Ward & Sutcliffe to name Just a few juniors.
.
With the exception of Walker and maybe Singleton and Ward these guys just haven't been up to the standard of the previous "Batch" of academy graduates. Would Handley, Lilley and Walters get in any other Super League team?

Doesn't matter what he's done in the past, he's got a very different side to when he had most of his success and failing to recruit properly has stung them, the young lads they've brought through from the academy don't seem to be ready yet.

I heard a crazy rumour a few days back that BM was going to be sacked and Dennis Betts was going to take over in the interim whilst they employed a full-time replacement. I very much doubt it would happen but can you imagine the reaction from Leeds fans
I wonder if they will come after any current SL coaches? Powell, Chester?
I am sure Powell said something along the lines of wanting the chance to go back to Leeds at one point in his career a few years back, as he `stepped down`from his position there so early in his coaching career. I wonder if they could entice him away from Castleford.

Most things have a price and Powell could certainly do a job there. He turned Cas into a decent side in a relatively short space of time, without spending a fortune as well.

He's already coached Leeds once before and that didn't work out well, I don't reckon he'll feel the need.

To be fair, it's probably balanced out by the amount of times a beating by us have resulted in a coach's sacking.
EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

A record like that at Wakefield would see a coach given the Freedom of the City, not the sack.

I have as much time for BM as he does for his home city.
I will never forget his rallying calls for the support for Bradford Bulls when they were in dumps financially, he even organised some sort of charity event to help them out. Yet when Wakefield were in there hour of need there was not a word from his mouth.
Anyway all that aside there is no denying his success at Leeds, I think his downfall in the end was his stubbornness to replace the ageing players, he got the timing all wrong IMO.
