To my knowledge we were linked with him just before we signed Harry Siejka.

Yep pretty sure you are right

He's turned us down once. Why give him a second chance. It's not as though he is so much better than Hampshire. He had the advantage of walking into a Catalans side full of talent and totally lacking in direction. A school crossing attendant would have improved Catalans organisation at that point.

I've always liked the look of Daniel Mortimer, seems to be playing fairly well at Leigh albeit at Hooker; he can play both scrum half and stand off.

Personally I'd like Matty Smith, good controlling half back with a kicking game that will allow Miller to do the fancy off the cuff stuff.

If he has signed for Catalans then Drinkwater wouldn't be a bad shout.

Can we not just talk about the topic of the thread?

Drinkwater would be okay for us, he seems to have done a decent job at Catalan and was steady at London and Leigh. Has a decent kicking game and seems to be able to guide a team around the park. I actually think given the opportunity Matty Smith would be a good fit for us, we seem to do well out of those kind of signings however if the so called interest in him is true then I cannot see him coming here.

I would be happy with Drinkwater to be honest.

He seems to have a good organising and kicking game, and knows how to guide a team around the pitch, and has been good for Catalans this year

To me, he could well be the natural successor to Finn, reasonable goal kicker, but also on top of that, he does seem to have the ability of kicking 40/20's. Kicked several for Leigh last year, despite the side struggling, which is something, despite our improvements over the last couple of years, that we seem to struggle on.
