We have an extra days rest plus, they have to travel from Perpignan so, we should be favourites but, make no mistake, this is a big game

Those games you mention have been mainly against teams with horrendous injuries, Gregory Bird was their stand out player yesterday and providing we can keep a grip on him and not allow him to play like Cas did yesterday there's no reason why we can't come out on top, difficult as it may be.

He is now to slow to get across to cover any gaps and St exploited this..If Chester keeps playing him think question have got to be asked about is coaching ability

He has been... in his time... age has caught.... down his side.... about his coaching

Just watched the highlights for 1st time. Both Finn and Lyne were really off the pace moving across. MCB left high n dry.

As PopTart said, our destiny is firmly in our own hands with games against Leeds, Catalan and Hudds still to come (which could end up being a top eight decider.
However, if we beat them next week, we can definitely start looking up the table and not looking over our shoulders.

Of course it’s a big game and a tricky one. That said I don’t get your love in with this team or this generally held belief that they are better than their league position suggests.

Didn’t we win five in a row this year? Have we not had loads of tight defeats that could and should have been wins? Are we champions elect?

Truth is they are just like us, an average team capable of being above average but imho that’s all.

Can they beat us, hell yes the law of averages alone is on their side as they are well over due a win - that said the chances of that happening are very much in our own hands and that I suppose is all you can ask for going into a game.

I think the new guy Kenny Edwards has been a big influence on Catalans improved form. Never heard of him till he hit the headlines.

I agree with the latter however even if we lose we will still be in 6th place, providing they don't put 100 on us!

Their current form IS better than any of the other sides in the bottom half of the table, this isn't opinion, it's fact and given the absolute shocking start to the season, when many though that McNamara would be visiting Le Job Centre, they have found a way to win games.

If you read my post again, you wil see the advantages that we have, regarding, turnaround, home advantage etc but, with Bird and Casty, we need to be very wary of them.
Losing this game would put Trinity right in the mix for The Qualifiers, so please excuse my nerves but, regardless of our league position, you know that we have been here before and although we have had a good habit of escaping.

Our forwards, I believe are better than theirs (Casty and Bird aside) and our three quarters certainly a match but, Drinkwater is playing some good stuff and with the x factor from Bird, this game could go either way and to deny it is just plain daft.

Catalan have 4 points start on the betting coupon and Trinity are rightly favourites but, this will be close, very close.

Was talking to a mate yesterday who's a Cas fan and he is big mates with Chessie and actually watched the Cats -v- Cas match at Chessies house. He said that Cas flew out 3 days before and were in "holiday mode" for that game and that was why they got trounced, so I am sure Chessie will have our boys in the right frame of mind
