I've only just got over the last time Saints won at belle vue over a disputed try in front of the cameras for all to see,
tonight is far worse than that, inept is being kind,
while I'm not daft to think the Saints don't deserve to be where they are, we should of come away with a better result tonight than that.

I think he’s something between incompetent and a cheat. Where he’s cheating is by over rating himself through vanity I assume.

Not going to the VR especially for a ref renouned for its use is more than incompetent to me. It’s willfull disregard for the rights of the fans for an honest game.

Had it been any other ref I reckon they would have sent it up ditto if we were Leeds or Wigan - can you imagine SOL reaction if he’d have been playing.

There was simply no excuse not to go to the VR imo.

It’s a hard gig reffing and I couldn’t do it but at this level where ultimately jobs and businesses are at stake you have to be the best and far to often Child’s falls short - it’s harsh because I’m sure he’s a great guy but you put yourself up there you have to deliver. He needs to go for me.

I don't like players and coaches having a go at the ref all the time. There needs to be respect of their role on the pitch.
Equally I'm not the type to blame the ref for a loss as there are always way more mistakes by players that cost the game.

However, I would like to see an official response when it is obvious on tv that a mistake has been made. The Batchelor incident could possibly be explained if the ref could clarify what they saw and how they interpreted it. The double movement was a clear error. TV proves it and it isn't an interpretation, he just didn't get it right for some reason, and didn't go to the ref.
I don't think it has to be a discussion, I just think it should be explained.

Spot on once again I could not agree more, although I'm not sure that he needs to go maybe that's a bit drastic, but my point and I still stick by it is that I don't think he's a cheat, and I base that to some extent that I haven't read a post from a fan of any club who has anything good to say about him, perhaps a consistent incompetent describes him best
